You can request a Subject Access (Basic Disclosure) from your local police.
You'll need to bring identification and a fee of 10 pounds with you. The check takes about a month to receive (no longer than 40 days).
Please call the local police first and, if possible, call the Korean Embassy nearest you to make sure that the procedure hasn't changed. Korean immigration will sometimes change their policies on very short notice (causing headaches for many).
